Dual-Clutch Gearbox Glitch: BMW Recalls 2500 BMW M3s

“The current-generation BMW M3 (E92) hasn’t been on the market for that long, but it’s already experiencing its first recall. The fault lies with BMW’s new dual-clutch gearbox, which may perform a multi-stage downshift should it detect rapid deceleration. What’s wrong with that? Apparently, at low speeds the M3’s engine could stall in such an occurrence, increasing the risk of an accident.” For the full article click here.

L’actuelle génération de BMW M3 (E92) n’a pas été sur le marché pour longue temps, mais elle connaît son premier rappel. La faute en revient à la nouvelle boîte de vitesses à double embrayage , qui pourrait rétrograder si elle détecte une décélération rapide. Où est le problème? Apparemment, à faible vitesse le moteur M3 pourrait esquiver, augmentant le risque d’accident. Article complet.
